As Vice-President of Edmonton Tourism at Edmonton Economic Development Corporation (EEDC), Maggie Davison has worked hard to inspire new vision, focus and direction.
Recognized now as an award-winning team and industry leader, Edmonton Tourism is a Destination Marketing Organization to watch in the world of Visitor Attraction.
Maggie brings to EEDC over 25 years of experience in the travel industry, having been recognized in the UK for her outstanding contributions to the industry. Her entrepreneurial background includes owning and operating a manufacturing business and a Travel franchise, working in the United Kingdom market as Managing Director for the Canadian Tourism Commission and on the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver, BC. Lastly, in 2009, Maggie began creating the destination marketing organization Tourism Jasper from the ground up – gathering a new team and repositioning Jasper as the most authentic Canadian Rocky Mountain community.
With a background in human resources and training, her real passion is to share her experience and grow her passionate and dedicated Tourism team.
She currently resides in Stony Plain with her husband Dave their golden retriever, Jazz and is Mom to their blended family of four adult children. She has a passion for horses, flying and gardening.
